CEA Antibody (DA036)

Description

CEA(Carcinoembryonic antigen) is expressed at very low levels in normal mucosal epithelium and other tissues of the adult colon,and it is highly expressed in gastrointestinal adenocarcinoma (including pancreatic) , lung adenocarcinoma and medullary thyroid carcinoma. CEA is a protein thought to promote tumor development through its role as a cell adhesion molecule. Anti-CEA positivity is seen in adenocarcinomas of many origins, especially colon and lung adenocarcinomas, but rarely seen in mesothelial cells and mesotheliomas. 1-5 — Références — 1. Tron, V et al.
