CA-125 (DA121)

Description

CA-125 (cancer antigen 125) is a large transmembrane glycoprotein belonging to the mucin family, encoded by the gene MUC16. By immunohistochemistry, CA-125 expression is not identified in normal ovarian tissue, but it is found in normal cervix, fallopian tube, and endometrium.1-2 Positive immunostaining for CA-125 is seen in most ovarian carcinomas and epithelioid mesotheliomas.3-6 — Références — 1.
